Hallie
Hallie

5-year-old spayed female

To meet Hallie, please ask for Susan F.

Hallie ia an all black female cat. Her story is familar to those involved in cat rescue. She and her sister Aggie were first adopted as kittens from a rescue group. After they were about 3 years old, the group was informed they had to be returned. About that time, one of our volunteers interceded in the return, because an adopter seeking two cats had come to her attention. A wonderful retired senior woman, named Dorothy, came forward to adopt them. She had recently lost a cat and truly missed its companionship. The volunteer kept in touch with Dorothy and a neighbor, who looked in on both of their situations. Then the bad news arrived. Dorothy's health had degenerated and she was going to live in assisted living and could not bring her cats.

The neighbor notified the volunteer, and agreed to take the two cats as fosters until a forever home could be found. The neighbor already has two cats, who vie for her affection, so keeping Hallie and Aggie is not an option. Hallie and Aggie, although sisters (up to date on shots and spay) do not have to be placed together, as they are not bosom buddies. Hallie does seem to have developed the nervous habit of licking herself until she develops a bald spot. It gives her a starange appearance, but the fur grows back. It is possible that in a quiet home where she feels safe and secure this behavior may stop. It is not caused by any physical illness.

If you would like to meet Aggie, please email Susan F..
