Romeo
Romeo

 To meet Romeo,

Romeo, a beautiful 1 year old gray tabby cat, came to PAW with a severe infection in both eyes. Despite his pain and limited vision, little Romeo was sweet and loving, and enjoyed being petted. Surgery gave Romeo back his sight, but the trauma of an operation followed by twice daily eye drops for more than a month made the once affectionate cat fearful and skittish. The surgery also left permanent scars on his eyes.

Romeo's foster family is now patiently working to regain Romeo's trust. While he loves being near people and enjoys the morning cat-treat from his foster mom, Romeo continues to shy away from being petted or held. The scars on his eyes neither detract from his beauty, nor stop him from playing joyfully with the other cats and small dog in his foster home.
