To meet Lucy,
A neighbor moved and left three cats behind. (Note: this is how ferel colonies begin.) One neighbor took in two of these abandoned cats. Another neighbor did not adopt the third cat, but continued to leave out the food and water she needed to survive. Well without any veterinarian care, this third female cat got pregnant and gave birth to five kittens by the neighbor's count. We were only able to trap four of the five kittens and Mom. Mom was all black and has been adopted. Rikki and Tavi have also been adopted.
Tikki and Lucy were brownish tabbies. Tikki and Lucy were the first trapped, and have been kept together ever since. They play together. Tikki is male and has been neutered. Lucy, the only female of the litter is spayed.
Both were negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia. They have received all their vaccinations, been wormed and are in good health. They love to play and dash up and down stairs, jump into the window sills to look outside and on and on. Tikki and Lucy look very similar, but now Tikki is much larger. Lucy still seems to have no fear of going into difficult places, and will find them when frightened.
Both are now dog-wise, since our dogs are cat friendly. They are familiar with the barking and face washings the female dog gives them.
They are ready for their forever homes, whether together, or apart. They are still playful, and are true "purr-babies."
