Sheila is a female orange tabby with a sweet personality, who has been a wonderful mother to her 6 kittens. (Three have been adopted: Eenie, Moe and Ketchup.)
Sheila has received all her vaccinations and tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia. She will soon be spay and ready to go to her new forever home.
Her story is not unlike that of many cats, a house cat that was abandoned, or perhaps lost, who was fortunate enough to have inspired two neighbors to befriend her, feed her, and give her shelter during the snow storms of this past winter.
However, because they did not take ownership of her (take her in, have her spay and vetted) she became pregnant and gave birth to six kittens. The neighbors became more involved when the kittens arrived, fearing for their survival and provided more shelter, and began looking for a rescue group. The Partnership for Animal Welfare responded, and a foster took her and her 6 six kittens into her home.
Sheila is a young cat, perhaps 1-2 years old. This may have been her first litter, or maybe 2nd. She was an excellent mother, but now her kittens are old enough to be on their own. She now needs to be the focus of someone's attention. Her tabby markings are exquisite and she is rather petite. She enjoys being brushed and her face and head touched.
She may settle in with other adult cats, or not, since she was on her own outside. Definitely no dogs.
