AARON

[AARON ] [AARON ]

AARON was found running at large and was not reclaimed at the end of his hold time. He can be a little bit goofy, clownish in his antics. He has a lot of personality and enjoys the attention he gets from his volunteer friends. Aaron loves to take walks to enjoy the sights and sounds and fresh air. He loves everyone and is very excited to greet and meet new people. AARON hopes to meet his new family soon. Perhaps you are his special someone?

Aaron has been with us for a little while now. We are not quite sure why as he is very special and just the cutest thing with his lab-ish body on his basset legs- big dog in a little dog's body or is it a little dog in a big dog's body? Perhaps it is black dog syndrome, as they are noted for being overlooked in shelter environments.

Aaron is quite smart and has been learning clicker training in his spare time. He is very receptive to it and focuses extremely well with this new activity. We are glad he has found a new avocation to keep him from focusing on the fact that he has been trying to wait patiently for a while now for his forever person to find him. We know AARON will make a great pet and hope that someone recognizes this soon so that he can get on with his life's adventures. Because of his exuberance, AARON would probably be best in an all adult home or one with older, dog savvy children who would not get knocked over when he runs and plays.

UPDATE: Aaron is pretty well housetrained and has general good house manners. He gets along well with the dogs in his foster home and is okay with dog savvy cats. AARON is a happy boy who yearns to be where the action is. He loves to run puppy laps in his safely fenced backyard, chasing after a tennis ball and adores squeaky toys.
