BASIL

BASIL, yet another little brown dog but what a large personality! He is fun and playful and 'what big ears you have', Mr. Basil spice! BASIL is simply adorable, cute and cuddly and definitely in need of a safely fenced yard to run and play, chase a ball and get out his puppy tendencies.

We came upon this cute little guy when he suddenly found himself homeless when his former owner was incarcerated. Basil had an abrasion on his nose and it was surmised that the person who he was left with when the owner had to leave, perhaps tried to keep him from barking in the apartment he was pushed into, by tying his snout shut. When the temporary home didn’t work out for this playful pup, it was off to the local kill shelter for him. Yet another expendable pet, dumped without a backward glance. This is Basil’s gain as we are out to find him the home of his dreams. Is Basil dreaming of you? Come find out by meeting him at an adoption event real soon.

BASIL is a good little boy, young, and so needs lots of exercise to tire him out. He is living in a foster home with two other dogs and a couple of cats. He enjoys all of their company, playing endlessly with the dogs. BASIL could benefit from some basic training though he already has mastered "sit" and "down" quite nicely. He likes to play fetch with a ball to run out his puppy energy. He is housebroken. BASIL needs a yard with at least a 5 foot fence or leash walking as he has unfortunately learned to climb over a standard fence in the pursuit of squirrels.
