BLAIR

[BLAIR]

Blair was a stray who found herself at the shelter. For some unknown reason she received no applications in the time she was there and the shelter workers asked PAW to give her a chance and find her a special home. That will be an easy thing to do given her unusual markings and sweet and happy disposition. Just looking at Blair brings a smile to your face! Blair gets along well with other dogs, likes to play, enjoys taking walks and giving kisses to that special someone. Her looks are an instant conversation starter.

Blair is crate-trained. She is good with other dogs and would be fine in an adult household or one with older children. Blair is anxiously awaiting her forever home so don't make her wait too long for you to come and meet her!

Update January 2008: We have discovered that Blair suffers from a compulsive disorder particularly in relation to lights and shadows. Dealing with this compulsion is stressful for this dear girl in that what we would consider ordinary environmental stimuli cause anxiousness for her. Blair has been under the care of our veterinarian for this issue and has recently met with a behaviorist to help her caretakers learn exercises to relieve the stressors brought on by her environment. Blair is an extremely smart patient, learning and enjoying the exercises immediately.

Despite her issues, Blair has a lot of love to give and she will make a deserving and patient adopter a very rewarding companion. Her ideal household would be an active one where she would get lots of exercise and mental stimulation. She would probably excel in a sport such as agility where she could put her energy and smarts to use.
