FLASH

Flash is a beautiful shepherd mix whose big brown eyes will absolutely melt your heart. She was returned to the shelter because her family was splitting up, so she's the product of a divorce in a situation where she was admittedly lacking the attention a young dog so needs.

Flash is a high energy bundle of fun. She is super playful, loves toys and her favorite game is to play fetch with her favorite soccer ball. Anything you are doing, Flash wants to do, too. Going for walks or taking car ride? Flash is ready to come with you, tail wagging. Watching a movie or cooking dinner? Flash will lie down on the floor just to be near you (and maybe steal some food). She is a smart cookie and takes well to positive training. She already knows sit, down, stay, shake, sit pretty and is learning more fun tricks like roll over. Flash is housetrained, rides well in the car, and enjoys being brushed and groomed. She behaves well around the house and respects her boundaries.

Other dogs are no problem for Flash. She likes to meet all kinds of dogs and just wants to play with all of them. Despite being a large girl Flash gets along great with smaller dogs and puppies. She would do well in a home with a dog that enjoys playing with a canine friend as much as she does.

In her previous life, Flash lacked guidance and training, but she is beginning to catch up. When she first came into her foster home, she was nervous and always needed to be busy doing something. She had to relearn to simply relax and let the world go by. She still gets over stimulated busy environments like adoption shows, but shows progress each week. While she is happy go lucky, always ready to play or cuddle, Flash is a very sensitive dog and needs a family that understands that she needs firm but gentle training.

This special girl needs an adult only home that has experience with large dogs so that she can continue to develop into the well adjusted dog she can be. Flash needs a home that will give her very clear rules, lots of love and plenty of exercise and she in turn will be your loyal friend for life.
