This darling girl was found running stray and her owners were not looking for her though hard to say why as she is sweet as the day is long. "Freckles" got her name honestly, such a sweet speckled girl. When she wags her tail her whole body goes along with it. When a volunteer was at the local shelter checking out another dog Freckles caught her eye and was drawn to her. It was as if she was saying "hey, over here, choose me PLEASE!" We are glad we did but are hoping her special someone will see her endearment soon just as we did.

Freckles could use some basic training and someone to work on her leash walking skills. She seems eager to please so this should not be an onerous job but would be fun and a great bonding exercise.

Freckles has been going home several times a week with one of the volunteers who has a nice big back yard that she loves to run and play in. After a nice romp, Freckles makes herself at home by taking a little snooze complete with snores. She has nice inside manners. Freckles loves to be with people and despite her size considers herself a lap dog. It appears she is going to be best as an only dog so not a dog park kind of gal, but would love a yard to call her own and the undivided attention of her people or person.
