As her name suggests, Gemma is a gem, or perhaps we should say, a diamond in the ruff! She is young, sweet, energetic and playful. She has a lot of puppy habits and nobody has ever really taught her how to behave nicely, so she will need someone gentle and patient to train her - she is not hard to handle, she just doesn't know what to do. With a little guidance she will make a wonderful companion, both for walking, hiking or running and for cuddling up with as the evenings get longer and temperatures start to fall.

Gemma would probably do best in a home without young children, as her playfulness might be a bit overwhelming for a small child.
