LOLA and her friend BACH came to be at the local kill shelter when their owner decided they no longer had time for the two of them. They are sweet and gentle and quite a find for us. LOLA seems independent of her friend, and enjoys her human companions. BACH is a bit reserved, and needs a home where he is treated gently, probably with other small gentle dog(s). They have each been checked over and have no medical concerns. Please contact us regarding their availability as applicants will be cued up to apply given their size and temperament.
Update July 10- Lola is doing great in her new foster home! She tends to be quietly and demurely affectionate - seeking gentle strokes and soothing words. Then, like a switch has been flipped, she'll start racing around exhuberantly, spinning in joyous circles. Then, as if realizing that such behavior is not seemly, she'll revert to her delicate ways. She loves both of our young boys and my husband. She is fine with the cats and is starting to feel more comfortable around our dogs. She has been a real lady indoors with not a single accident. She doesn't show any interest in chewing on our things and doesn't even seem to know what to do with dog toys. She rides well in the car, is easy as pie on a leash and is crate-trained. Although she is a very quiet dog, she has barked a couple of times when she suspected an 'intruder' (the family dad, before she learned to recognize him) was outside of the house. Oh, and she is truly beautiful with super-soft honey-colored fur that blends to white on her chest and underside. Lola is an incredibly sweet, gorgeous and gentle little dog looking for a home where she will be loved and appreciated for the darling girl that she is.
