OSCAR

[OSCAR ] [OSCAR ]

Looking for your new best friend? Meet Oscar, seventy pounds of love and fun, waiting for the right family to adopt him into their home. Like so many dogs in rescue, Oscar had a rough start. Somehow he ended up in an out-of-state shelter when PAW picked him up. On top of losing his owners, he was diagnosed with heartworm disease and penumonia. Luckily, he survived and now he is as good as new! While Oscar loves to chase after balls, he is just as happy when he can lean against you to get ear scratches. Oscar has never met a stranger, human or canine, and wants to declare everyone his new best friend. He is crate trained, house trained and rides well in the car. Oscar is a super-smart dog and picks up new things very fast, but he still needs some training and consistency to learn good dog manners. He would be best for an active family with older kids. Oscar would be great as a single dog but would also be happy with more than one fur-nose in the family. He would probably do fine in a home with cats if properly introduced.
