Panda Bear is a big beautiful affectionate dog that will just dazzle you. She loves her attention and responds in kind to affection. She has a very distinctive black and white look - not quite cow, not a skunk, not really a penguin - right! the Panda Bear look.
Panda was with PAW a year ago, an unclaimed shelter stray with such a bad flea infestation and allergic reaction that her beautiful white coat was stained pink from the flea dirt. Many baths later her true colors came through. She was then adopted last summer but returned to us six months later when they had no time for her. So she has been in a household and is house trained. She misses being with people every day. She put on some extra weight while she was in her home, so someone who would exercise her and get her into shape would be perfect. She loves to walk and does very well on a leash, not much pulling for a big girl.
She is very good with children at our adoption shows but in some circumstances, she has some buttons that should not be pressed and because of this we recommend that she not go to a home with children under 10 years old. Panda seems to be selective about the dogs she likes. She may be okay with another dog in the house if we introduce them carefully and allow them to get to know each other. But she would probably be happiest as the one and only household dog - who wouldn't?
Come check out Panda Bear but beware - she may melt your heart!
