PETEY

[PETEY ] [PETEY ] [PETEY ]

Petey was found as a stray and sent to a local shelter, where he was kept warm & safe but didn't get adopted with all of the "competition" from younger dogs. However, Petey remained patient and friendly.

Petey walks nicely on leash and is housebroken. He will retrieve and play with tennis balls ENDLESSLY as demonstrated by his picture above. We actually think he would be a shoe-in for an agility sport like fly-ball. When not working out with his tennis balls, Petey loves snuggle time with his PAW friends and is quite fond of belly rubs.

In his spare time Petey is in search of an adult household with dog experience and where there are no cats. He may do okay with other submissive, non-threatening dogs although he shows signs of wanting to be an only dog.

Petey was recently diagnosed with a treatable liver issue. He is on a special diet and his meds cost approximately $50 per month. He will need regular blood tests to monitor his liver values and to make sure everything is on track. Despite his health issues Petey should continue to live a very normal and happy existence with the proper care. He will most certainly be a winning companion and lifelong best friend to his new adopters.
