SIERRA |

This pretty girl is Sierra. Poor Sierra has spent a large part of her life so far chained to a wooden box, out in the yard. Since she could not run away, she "got herself pregnant" as her uncaring owners put it, but they didn't mind as they felt that the puppies were "fun for the kids". The kids also thought it would be fun to give her a haircut one day and you can see the mess they have made of her beautiful tail. Luckily, the hair will grow back soon and then Sierra's final reminder of her old life will be gone.
Sierra is a little overwhelmed at the moment, with all the strange new things she is experiencing, but her foster says she is adapting fast. She has had no accidents in the house and has been the perfect guest. She gets on fine with the resident dog in her foster home and with other dogs she meets. We are not sure about cats, as yet. Mostly, though, she just follows her foster mom around the house and loves to be cuddled and petted.
Update- September 5
Since Sierra went to her foster home, she has gone from shy and submissive, to happy and confident, and extremely affectionate. She is great with everyone she meets, including kids, and gets on fine with other dogs, though she is much more interested in people. She has shown no interest in the two cats in her foster home (though she has been known to eat their food when they weren't looking!
Sierra is eager to meet her new family and to be a real part of that family - not chained up alone outside. If you are looking for a sweet-natured, gentle girl, who just wants to be loved and petted, she could be just what you are looking for.
