SKIPPY

This young lad wandered off from his home and landed in the packed and overwhelmed shelter at the holidays where he remained unclaimed. SKIPPY found himself in PAW because of the caring rescue people who work at the local shelter. They begged us to find a spot for this guy who they were all attached to. SKIPPY is a nice young male shepherd mix. He is gangly and active but settles down with some exercise like many young dogs. Our Skippy walks well on leash and enjoys a good walk to explore the sights and sounds of the neighborhood. He will make a nice companion for someone who is looking for a loyal friend.

UPDATE MARCH: SKIPPY continues to wait for his forever home. Like some of his other PAW dog friends, he has become lost in the system through no fault of his own. He was more likely the product of backyard breeders, taken home by some well meaning person because he was a cute puppy and as soon as he grew out of his gangly puppy stage, tossed in the yard and ignored. Because of his bad beginnings SKIPPY needs some work from a dedicated and experienced dog owner who is looking for a very smart and committed companion. SKIPPY wants to please but just needs to be shown the proper way to do so. SKIPPY gets along with most dogs and adores his PAW buddies, particularly those that have the time to guide him and give him structure, love, praise and other rewards for all that he is learning as he grows up and out with us.
