SMEDLEY

[SMEDLEY ] [SMEDLEY ]

Smedley was wandering the countryside of rural Virginia, going wherever his nose would take him. Luckily, Smedley sniffed out the home of a rescue volunteer. All efforts to find an owner were made, but nobody claimed him. We can't figure out why. Smedley is a sweet, affectionate little dog. He is house-trained and crate-trained. He is active and playful. His favorite game is "I found your sock," and he delights in running off to another room with socks. He also likes to drag other personal items through the house, so like many young dogs, Smedley needs supervision to redirect his enthusiasm to appropriate chew toys.

Besides the sock game, Smedley's other favorite pastime is exploring in a securely fenced yard with his nose to the ground. He also likes to race through the house, pausing long enough to get a quick ear scratch, and then race around again. After all this racing, Smedley likes to curl up next to his human at the end of the day.

Smedley likes to play with other dogs and loves the attention of people. He's best with children 6 and over since his exuberance and puppyish ways can be overwhelming for a toddler. Smedley will charm beagle lovers with his fine voice, but his beagle bay is probably not suitable for apartment living.
