SMOKY

Want velcro? Smoky is the dog for you. She loves to be with her people, whether sitting in your lap, lying at your feet, or following you through the house. She is good with men, women, and gentle kids. She tolerates most other dogs but prefers to be with her people. She is housebroken, sweet, and affectionate. She does not like to be crated.

Smoky has a sad story, which has probably affected her personality. She was originally a stray. She has been adopted twice in the last year. The first time her owner passed away. The second time, her owner moved from a single family home to an apartment. Smoky did well in the house, but was too loud for the apartment. Because of all these changes, she bonds very strongly to her family. She barks at usual small dog stimuli but will quiet down when corrected. Smoky would do best in a calm single family home, where the family is willing and available to spend a lot of time with her. She is very lovable and will make a great companion!
