Bonnie

[BONNIE ] [BONNIE ] [BONNIE ] [BONNIE ]

Bonnie Bun Buns is a medium sized, spayed, white and black, up eared lop. She was rescued from a shelter in New Jersey when her time was up. She was rescued with Jellie, Nellie, Zoom and Daisy Mae, but is not related. When she first came from the shelter, she was full of yellowy dirt,so we thought. The bunny vet said that male bunnies would hop past her and pee on her because she was so submissive. Well, she got all cleaned up and that will never happen again.

Bonnie is still very shy and often hides behind her bunny-friend Jellie. She is getting a little more confident as time goes on. Bonnie likes to hide in boxes and nuzzle with Jellie. You can often find them lounging together in their litter box. She LOVES yogurt treats and carrots. She takes them from your hand very gently, then goes back to her hidey house to eat them. When she eats carrots, her dewlap (chin) gets orange.

Ms. Bonnie Bun Buns has been checked out by our bunny vet on various routine occasions and is perfectly healthy, including her teeth. She has had no health issues whatsoever since she's been in the PAW program (or before, as far as we know).

Bonnie has been raised with kittens, cats, and dogs and seems unconcerned with all of them. While a little hard to catch, once she.s caught she will sit happily in your lap. Since she.s so shy, she still shakes a little while you're holding her.

Bonnie and Jellie must be adopted together, as they are totally bonded to each other.

If you are interested in adopting an animal or interested in getting involved with the foster "parent" program, please contact Bonnie's foster, Nancy
