PAW In the News!

Channel 9 Interviews PAW Animals

Several of our dogs and cats have been featured on WUSA Channel 9, thanks to their Petline 9 program and PAW volunteers Susan Flashman and Dick Bissell. The reporters introduce them on the Channel 9 news on Saturday mornings between 7 and 8 am (usually after 7:30). Our thanks to Channel 9 for their efforts to help area pets find new homes!

Journal Features PAW Animals

If you read the Montgomery or Prince George's Journal, you may have noticed that we now have a weekly feature of PAW cats and dogs. Each week the Journal features 5 cats and dogs in the Wednesday issue. We thank the Journal for their role in helping us to reach out to the community for help in rescuing and finding homes for these wonderful animals!

Good Morning Washington Spotlights PAW Photos

WJLA-TV (Channel 7) is sponsoring Adopt-a-Pet Monday by airing a photo of one of our homeless pets each Monday at 6:40 am. The photo is shown by weatherman Dan Henry on the show "Good Morning Washington" during its Pet Picks segment. Our heartfelt thanks to WJLA and Dan Henry for their support.

Cause for Paws Films PAW Animals

Thanks also to photographer and filmmaker Connie Carter who periodically features PAW dogs and cats on her show "Cause for Paws" which airs on Bowie Cable Television and other Prince George's County networks. PAW is most appreciative of Connie's involvement and dedication to the cause of animal rescue.

PAW's Pets on Oldies 100!

Dave Adler (pictured above with two grateful visitors from PAW) and Don "Wicky" Wicklin of radio's Oldies100 (WBIG, 100.3 FM) have been helping PAW's homeless pets by featuring an adoptable dog and cat of the week every Friday morning at about 8:50 a.m. Many of our rescued dogs and cats have found wonderful homes with Oldies 100 listeners. Make sure to tune in every week. PAW extends its heartfelt thanks to Dave, Don, and WBIG!
